Rahdari Tabriz

This project is designed for the central office of the Tabriz Road Maintenance Organization. The site is strategically located on a hill, offering a clear view of the nearby highway and the surrounding urban landscape. The design concept integrates the idea of central courtyards with the administrative functions of the complex, creating a unified and cohesive architectural ensemble. The goal is to establish a hybrid space that blends open areas with administrative functions, allowing employees in each department to have independent access to a courtyard. The integration of courtyards with workspace areas introduces a new typology for work environments, aimed at enhancing productivity. Each department benefits from access to recreational and service amenities alongside their workspaces, arranged around open courtyard patterns. The design divides the project into several functional zones, represented as distinct volumes. These volumes are interconnected through a central spatial void, ensuring cohesion across the entire complex. Visitors interact with the administrative functions via the open spaces defined between the courtyards and the functional volumes. The interplay between open and closed masses is evident throughout the project, creating a dynamic relationship at both macro and micro scales. The material palette is inspired by the natural colors of the Tabriz Eynali mountain, utilizing red cement mixed with the region’s soil to harmonize the structure with its environment.
