The Ziarat residential project is located in the village of Ziarat, Gorgan. In recent years, apartment construction has taken place on both small and large scales in this area of Gorgan, significantly impacting the rural fabric of the region and its surrounding nature. Building permits have been issued for apartment constructions up to 10 stories high, which has generally caused the rural fabric to transform into an undefined and identity-less environment. This is due to the combination of the area’s weak rural infrastructure and the dense construction, on one hand, and the beautiful nature of the region, on the other, resulting in a chaotic environment that disrupts the potential of the untouched rural nature. The Ziarat residential project is defined by its density on a plot of land of … and … floors. The design issue aims to create an alternative model for residential apartments by integrating the building mass with green spaces and creating greater harmony between the buildings and nature. The architectural concept of the design focuses on creating a villa model in height. These villas can offer better light quality and views through transparent facades and various terraces. If this model develops in the region, it could partially replace the apartment model. Villas, blending with green environments and simple materials, could ultimately become a lasting construction model for this area. The vertical access to the building is located at the center of the massing, featuring various cutouts that provide views from the mass to the outer facade. The villas on different floors have courtyards that are directly accessible from each villa.
